Classes have started
It has been weeks since I last wrote, yet it has gone by very fast. Every day has been busy, yet at the same time there is nothing really important to report. I had orientation week, which was basically a giant waste of time. I was planning meeting a bunch more students, and I did, but I am still just really getting to know the friends I already have and I found that lots of the new studnets really stick together by nationality and language. So I am happy that I am hanging out with my pan-European group of friends.
Err... After that I had a week of nothing to do. I proably should have gone to Helsinki or Talinn or something, but there was new people to meet and courses to get figured out and no one else could go and I did not want to go solo. So, I hung around in Tampere. It was a good time but nothing fantastic. Then this week I started classes. They are good. Mostly Russian studies, and even though I am in Finland I can not take any Finnish courses as they do not fit into my schedule, so I am taking Russian and French instead.
I am also taking a circuit training class twice a week at the gym. Wow, it is exhausting. The class is almost all girls, but the stuff we have to do is so hard. I am always disgustingly sweaty after the class. But it is nice to be doing some physical activity as I always feel less stressed if I do.
This weekend we were welcoming back our friend Claudia from Spain, we were going to surprise her with a surprise party. We had said that everyone was going to Helsinki etc etc and she was feeeling sad that noone was going to meet her when she arrived. But we were the ones surprised, as we were hanging out Judit got a text message and told us that Claudia had missed her transfer in London and would have to wait 24hrs for the next one. So the guest of honour was not going to show up to her own party. It was pretty funny telling everyone that as they arrived. We still had a great time, though I was not feeling so fantastic this morning.
I still have not recieved any information about my government student loan.... So that sucks. And this is my life so far.
